Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the monthly closing cycle for Kaiko’s five international entities (New York, London, Paris, Singapore + one additional subsidiary) under the guidance of our Group Controller. You will prepare trial balances, post adjusting entries, and ensure every ledger is ready for consolidation within strict deadlines.
- • Execute day-to-day bookkeeping in Spendesk, Xero, and Fulll: code invoices, record accruals, and maintain clean, audit-ready chart of accounts. Your entries feed directly into investor and board packs, so precision is non-negotiable.
- • Reconcile high-volume bank statements weekly—both fiat and stable-coin accounts—spotting discrepancies before they become problems. You will build reconciliation templates that scale with our growing list of exchanges and custodians.
- • Manage the full Accounts Payable cycle: from three-way matching of purchase orders to scheduling payment runs in EUR, USD, GBP, and SGD. You will interface with engineers, data vendors, and marketing agencies to resolve billing queries and secure early-payment discounts.
- • Drive Accounts Receivable follow-up for our SaaS and data-feed clients across time zones. You will prepare aging reports, issue dunning letters, and work with Sales Ops to reduce DSO and improve cash forecasting accuracy.
- • Generate payroll reports for our 80-person global workforce, liaising with external providers to ensure tax, social-security, and stock-option withholdings are correct. You will become the go-to person for employee expense queries on Spendesk.
- • Collaborate with FP&A on P&L consolidation, variance analysis, and flash reports that land on the CFO’s desk every month. Your insights will influence budget re-allocations and pricing decisions across our four product pillars.
- • Contribute to ad-hoc projects such as ERP migration scoping, EU Benchmark Regulation compliance testing, and crypto-asset valuation policies. Your fresh perspective will help us automate low-value tasks and strengthen internal controls.
- • Present findings to the Finance Team during weekly stand-ups, turning raw numbers into concise stories that non-finance stakeholders understand. You will leave the apprenticeship with a portfolio of process improvements you personally delivered.
- • Immerse yourself in an international, hybrid culture where curiosity is rewarded and mistakes are treated as learning opportunities. You will attend our annual off-site retreat, monthly team drinks, and spontaneous crypto-market deep dives with Kaiko Research.
