- • Serve as a key member of BetMGM’s finance team, managing daily finance reconciliations across multiple payment channels and U.S. states.
- • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of BetMGM’s revenue cycle and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- • Assist the Revenue Accounting team with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- • Identify, investigate, and resolve financial discrepancies across systems and jurisdictions, taking full ownership of daily reconciliation issues.
- • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to conduct detailed variance investigations using financial and operational data.
- • Partner with Risk, Trading, and Customer Operations teams to resolve financial anomalies tied to player activity, betting outcomes, or payment processing.
- • Provide timely and accurate support for all internal and external audit requests, ensuring documentation and controls meet regulatory standards.
- • Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc financial analyses, reporting, and process improvement initiatives as needed.
- • Contribute to the design and implementation of new finance processes to support the rollout of gaming offerings into additional U.S. states.
- • Engage directly with parent companies and state gaming regulators to ensure compliance with jurisdictional financial reporting requirements.
- • Work scheduled weekend shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays, to meet critical submission deadlines, with corresponding flexibility in weekday hours.
- • Maintain strict adherence to BetMGM’s responsible gambling policies and state gaming compliance standards.
- • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze large financial datasets and automate routine reconciliation tasks.
- • Support data validation and investigation efforts using SQL or data warehouse tools (e.g., Snowflake) where applicable.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- • Qualified, part-qualified, or demonstrable progress toward CPA certification
- • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large financial datasets
- • Ambitious, proactive self-starter with a passion for finance and business operations
- • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain financial findings to cross-functional teams
- • Keen attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, evolving environment
