As we scale our U.S. operations, we are actively seeking a proactive and exceptionally detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to become a foundational member of our finance team.

- • As an Accounts Assistant, your primary focus will be on managing the intricacies of Accounts Payable, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial transactions. You will be instrumental in processing supplier invoices, meticulously matching them against purchase orders, and proactively resolving any discrepancies or queries that arise. A key responsibility will be the preparation and execution of weekly payment runs, ensuring our vendors are paid promptly and professionally, thereby maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- • You will also play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records through daily bank reconciliations. This involves ensuring that all transactions recorded in our accounting system accurately reflect our bank statements, identifying and resolving any variances promptly. Furthermore, you will manage the processing of corporate card expenses, ensuring all expenditures are properly documented and categorized, and contribute to the crucial task of updating our weekly cashflow forecasts, providing essential insights into our financial liquidity.
- • Your support will be critical during our month-end close process. This will involve preparing accurate journal entries, including crucial accruals and prepayments, to ensure our financial statements reflect the economic reality of the period. You will be responsible for reconciling various balance sheet accounts, verifying their accuracy and completeness. A significant aspect of this role will be investigating cost variances, analyzing deviations from budget or forecast, and providing clear explanations for these differences. This analytical work is essential for informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- • Beyond routine tasks, you will contribute to the overall financial health and compliance of the company. This includes maintaining meticulously organized documentation for all financial transactions, which is vital for internal controls and external audits. - • The role operates on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday, aligning with the U.S. Eastern Standard Timezone (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST). This structure ensures seamless collaboration with our U.S.-based operations and provides a consistent work schedule.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating a strong foundation in accounting principles.
- • 1-2 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with a proven track record in accounts payable processes and a solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate Pivot Tables and utilize complex formulas for data analysis and reporting.
- • Exceptional attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving business environment.
- • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive and productive relationships with vendors and internal teams.
