📋 Description

• As an Accounting Manager at Tilt, you will own product accounting for loans, credit cards, and cash advances, rebuilding processes from the ground up to support the company’s rapid growth and IPO readiness.
• Day to day, you will lead monthly and quarterly close, drive balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries, partner with Engineering and Data teams to embed accounting treatment into new products, and work with FP&A and Capital Markets to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
• Tilt is a remote-first fintech company using machine learning and real-time financial signals to expand access to fair credit, serving millions of customers worldwide with a mission to build a better credit system.
• In this role, you will build scalable, audit-ready accounting infrastructure, mentor two direct reports, and gain visibility with senior leadership while shaping the financial foundation of a high-growth startup preparing for scale.

🎯 Requirements

• 7–10 years of accounting experience with deep expertise in fintech or financial services product accounting — loans, credit cards, or cash advances
• Background spanning both fast-paced high-growth startups and rigorous public company environments
• Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring a team; ready to lead two direct reports from day one
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting operations across a range of product types
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus
• CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
