• • As an Accounting Manager for Global GL Operations at Coinbase, you will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our global financial reporting. This role is pivotal in supporting Coinbase's mission to increase economic freedom by building the future of the global financial system. You will be a key player in a dynamic, high-growth technology company, contributing to the foundational aspects of our financial operations.
• • You will be responsible for overseeing the critical month-end and quarter-end close processes. This includes meticulously preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing thorough reconciliations of accounts, and conducting detailed variance analysis across various global accounting functions. Your oversight will extend to key areas such as Operating Expenses, Capitalized Software, and Operating Cash, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
• • A significant aspect of your role will involve leading and fostering cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with teams such as Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Tax, Treasury, and Source-To-Pay. This collaboration is essential to guarantee that accounting treatments and financial reporting align with company policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring a cohesive financial picture.
• • You will play a crucial role in the preparation and review of financial statements. This includes contributing to the global consolidated audit process and ensuring the accuracy of international subsidiary statutory financial statements. Your attention to detail will be paramount in maintaining compliance and providing reliable financial data.
• • As a manager, you will lead and mentor junior accounting team members. This involves reviewing their work deliverables, providing constructive feedback, and actively fostering their professional development. • • A unique aspect of this role involves maintaining international subsidiaries’ parallel books of accounts in line with local country GAAP. This requires ensuring appropriate reconciliations and valid support for all adjustments. You will also support monthly management reporting and conduct analytical reviews of financial performance for these entities, providing insights into global financial operations.
