• • As an Accounts Payable Intern, you will gain invaluable exposure to the end-to-end accounts payable process, playing a crucial role in supporting the team's daily operations. Your responsibilities will encompass addressing first-level escalations, meticulously assisting in the invoice management process, and ensuring the seamless flow of operations from initial invoice receipt through to final approval for payment. This role offers a comprehensive understanding of financial operations within a leading telecommunications infrastructure provider.
• • A primary focus of your role will be Vendor Invoice Processing. You will be responsible for accurately processing vendor invoices for payment, adhering strictly to our established accounts payable procedures. This will involve diligently reviewing vendor inquiries to resolve any outstanding invoice questions or internal hold issues, thereby facilitating the timely and accurate validation of invoices for payment. Your attention to detail will be paramount in maintaining the integrity of our payment cycles.
• • Furthermore, you will contribute significantly to Data Analysis & Reporting. This involves providing essential support in analyzing vendor data and detailed payment information for management review. You will assist in the diligent tracking and maintenance of various critical records pertaining to the entire accounts payable lifecycle. A forward-thinking aspect of this role includes supporting AI strategies aimed at enhancing reporting accuracy and efficiency, offering a glimpse into the future of financial operations.
• • Cross-Team Collaboration will be a key component of your experience. You will work closely and effectively with other internal departments, including Procurement and Network Operations. • • The Zayo Summer Internship Program is scheduled to commence on June 1, 2026, and will span a duration of 9 weeks. The internship will be conducted in a hybrid capacity, requiring interns to be in our Denver, CO office 2-3 days per week, with flexibility in frequency. This hybrid model allows for both focused work and valuable in-person collaboration.
