- • Own the end-to-end accounts payable cycle for Carwow’s global operations, processing 1000+ invoices per month across multiple currencies and entities while ensuring 100 % accuracy and on-time payment.
- • Master our PO and accounting systems (currently NetSuite) to capture, code and post supplier invoices, inter-company recharges, employee expenses and credit notes, maintaining a clean audit trail for internal and external stakeholders.
- • Reconcile supplier statements weekly, proactively chasing missing credits and resolving pricing or quantity mismatches before month-end, keeping aged creditor balances below 5 % over 60 days.
- • Allocate daily banking transactions across GBP, EUR and USD accounts, prepare bank reconciliations and flag unreconciled items to the Transactional Finance Manager within two working days.
- • Execute multi-currency payment runs twice weekly using online banking platforms and ensure all remittance advices are distributed to suppliers, maintaining positive vendor relationships and securing early-payment discounts where available.
- • Act as first-line support for all AP queries, responding to supplier emails and internal Slack messages within 24 hours and escalating complex issues to the UK team when necessary.
- • Partner with Procurement, Marketing, Engineering and Editorial teams to resolve PO mismatches, missing approvals or incorrect VAT treatment, educating colleagues on policy and driving continuous process improvement.
- • Process corporate card and out-of-pocket expenses through Expensify, verifying receipts, ensuring policy compliance and posting journals to the correct cost centres and projects.
- • Support the month-end close by preparing AP accruals, accrued liability reconciliations and VAT schedules, contributing to a 5-day close target.
- • Contribute to ad-hoc projects such as system upgrades, workflow automation, supplier onboarding or audit preparation, bringing fresh ideas that scale with Carwow’s 50 % year-on-year growth.
- • Travel to our London Head Office up to four times a year to build relationships with the UK finance team, attend training and share best practices across regions.
- • Champion a culture of accuracy, compliance and customer service within the finance team, mentoring junior colleagues and embodying Carwow’s values of transparency, curiosity and impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of high-volume accounts payable experience in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment
- • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, data validation) and familiarity with Google Workspace
- • Fluent English (written and verbal); German or Spanish language skills are a strong plus
- • Meticulous attention to detail with a track record of 99 %+ data accuracy
- • Strong organisational and time-management skills with proven ability to meet tight month-end deadlines
