- • The Actuarial Consultant supports client healthcare initiatives and innovations by delivering data-driven insights and strategic actuarial expertise across a range of projects, collaborating with senior colleagues to produce high-quality actuarial analyses for team, insurer, provider, and care solution clients.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and reviewing actuarial models, mentoring junior team members, ensuring work aligns with actuarial standards, contributing to practice development initiatives, building scalable analytical tools, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver accurate, timely, and impactful solutions for risk management and financial decision-making.

- • In this role, the individual can deepen expertise in healthcare actuarial science, lead complex analyses, mentor junior staff, develop scalable models, and contribute to strategic product design, pricing optimization, and network evaluation initiatives that directly impact client outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial, data science, economics, or a related field
- • ASA/FSA (Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) designation required
- • 5+ years of healthcare actuarial experience in areas such as commercial healthcare, stop loss, traditional health & welfare benefits, reserving, pricing, financial modeling, or pharmacy benefit management
- • Experience with actuarial model development using SQL, VBA, and/or SAS
- • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to communicate complex topics clearly to non-expert audiences
- • Knowledge of healthcare databases and data sources including claims, encounters, labs, and EMR
