📋 Description

• As an Adjunct Faculty member in Health Services Administration at Strayer University, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders by delivering high-quality, engaging instruction in undergraduate and graduate-level courses. Your expertise will directly contribute to academic excellence and student success in a flexible, remote-friendly environment that values mentorship and lifelong learning.
• Teach assigned Health Services Administration and Nutrition courses using a pre-designed curriculum, integrating real-world professional expertise to ensure content is relevant, current, and applicable to students’ career goals.
• Leverage technology and multimedia resources—including videos, interactive modules, and the university’s online learning platform—to enhance student engagement and support diverse learning styles.
• Maintain regular and accessible communication with students via email, phone, text, and scheduled office hours to provide timely feedback, academic guidance, and mentorship that fosters student retention and achievement.
• Establish clear evaluation criteria, uphold rigorous academic standards, and ensure all assessments align with course objectives and university policies.
• Participate in required faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and training sessions to stay current with pedagogical best practices, institutional initiatives, and advancements in health services education.
• Collaborate with academic leadership and peers to continuously improve curriculum effectiveness through data-informed adjustments and innovative teaching strategies.
• Uphold Strayer University’s commitment to inclusivity, equity, and academic integrity by fostering a supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
• Develop and refine oral presentation, course planning, and organizational skills while mentoring students through complex healthcare administration concepts and real-world case studies.

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nutrition or a closely related field (e.g., Human Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Food and Nutrition, Nutritional Sciences, or Nursing) from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching at the college level, with strong preference for prior online or hybrid instruction experience.
• Proficiency in academic technology tools, including learning management systems, presentation software (PowerPoint), and data analysis programs (Excel).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex health services concepts clearly to diverse student populations.
• Proven ability to manage academic responsibilities professionally and ethically, including handling stressful situations with composure and integrity.
• Authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
