  • • In this vital administrative role, reporting directly to the Insurance & Revenue Operations Manager, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of our patient care services. Your primary focus will be on meticulously verifying insurance coverage, reducing billing errors, and facilitating seamless reimbursement processes, all of which are critical to delivering a positive and confident patient experience.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a comprehensive range of insurance verification tasks. This includes confirming the active status of a patient’s insurance policy on the date of service, meticulously verifying policyholder details, and accurately determining the coordination of benefits when multiple insurance policies are in play. You will be responsible for ascertaining whether the healthcare provider and the facility are recognized and covered under the patient’s specific insurance plan, thereby preventing unexpected costs for our patients.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve a thorough review of coverage conditions, identifying any exclusions or service limitations that might affect patient care or billing. You will calculate and clearly communicate the patient’s financial responsibility, ensuring transparency and helping them understand their out-of-pocket expenses. This includes confirming coverage for a variety of services, such as telemedicine consultations, specialist care, and essential medical equipment like CPAP devices, which are integral to our comprehensive sleep health solutions.
  • • Maintaining impeccable records is paramount. You will be expected to record all findings from insurance verifications clearly, accurately, and systematically within our internal systems. This detailed documentation is essential for supporting accurate cost estimates and ensuring error-free billing, directly contributing to the financial health of the organization and the satisfaction of our patients.
  • • Upholding the highest standards of data protection and compliance is non-negotiable. You will maintain complete and structured documentation of all insurance verifications, ensuring that all information supports accurate cost estimates and billing. Critically, you must adhere to strict data protection standards when handling sensitive patient information, including HIPAA requirements applicable to U.S. healthcare. Your role involves the secure handling of personal and medical data, especially important in a cross-border operational environment.
  • • Effective patient communication is a cornerstone of this role. You will proactively contact U.S. patients to confirm or update their insurance details, clarify insurance priority if multiple policies exist, and explain coverage details and expected patient costs in clear, simple, and accessible language. Your ability to communicate financial information professionally and empathetically will be key to building trust and setting clear expectations regarding potential out-of-pocket expenses. You will also be expected to handle billing-related questions with calmness, respect, and a problem-solving approach.
