• • As an AI Automation Engineer at Bestow Inc., you will be at the forefront of transforming how our internal business operations function. You will serve as a critical catalyst for innovation, leveraging cutting-edge AI and automation technologies to eliminate process friction and drive significant efficiency gains across all departments, including engineering, product, sales, legal, and finance.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to identify high-friction processes within the business, rapidly prototype and develop LLM-powered solutions, and then harden these prototypes into production-grade systems that deliver measurable business impact. This role requires a unique blend of engineering prowess, business acumen, and a passion for practical AI application.
• • You will work cross-functionally, partnering closely with business operations, data science, data engineering, and product teams. Your ability to translate research and operational intelligence into tangible tools that achieve organic adoption will be key to your success.
• • The role demands a pragmatic approach to building, treating AI not just as a technology but as a powerful lever for redesigning how work gets done across the entire organization. You will be expected to move fast, build intelligently, and own the end-to-end lifecycle of automation solutions.
• • **Build & Scale:** You will rapidly prototype Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) using LLM APIs from providers like Gemini and Anthropic, alongside agent frameworks and workflow orchestration platforms such as n8n, Zapier, and Make. The goal is to quickly address business bottlenecks and demonstrate value.
• • You will develop production-grade internal applications, ensuring they have reliable frontends, robust Python backends, and comprehensive observability to monitor their performance and health.
• • A significant part of your work will involve designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, multi-step agent workflows, and structured output pipelines that are grounded in Bestow's proprietary company data, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• • You will build automated evaluation frameworks (often referred to as 'evals') to rigorously ensure the reliability, accuracy, and safety of all AI-generated outputs before and after deployment.
• • You will actively use AI tooling to accelerate your own development process, critically supervising AI's architectural choices and effectively debugging where it falls short, maintaining human oversight and control.
• • **Scale & Harden:** Once prototypes prove successful, you will evolve them into durable, production-ready systems. This includes implementing comprehensive error handling, robust logging mechanisms, intelligent retry logic, and continuous monitoring.
• • You will research and propose solutions that can securely handle sensitive and business-critical data. This involves a deep understanding of appropriate security controls, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII) handling, awareness of SOC2 compliance, HIPAA considerations, and implementing effective human-in-the-loop safeguards.
• • Optimization will be a continuous effort, focusing on cost-efficiency, low latency, and token efficiency across all LLM-powered workflows to ensure scalability and economic viability.
• • You will design resilient systems that incorporate comprehensive monitoring and alerting, contributing directly to the overall automation governance and ensuring the stability of our internal processes.
• • **Advocate and Influence:** A crucial aspect of this role is your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders. You will build alignment and drive informed decision-making regarding AI automation initiatives.
• • You will proactively host workshops, create detailed playbooks, and train team members across all departments. This ensures they can safely, effectively, and efficiently use, maintain, and derive maximum value from the tools you ship.
• • You will meticulously document automation patterns and best practices, establishing a knowledge base that ensures the long-term maintainability and scalability of processes that are increasingly critical to Bestow's operations.
• • You will champion responsible AI practices throughout the organization, ensuring that all automations you build incorporate appropriate human oversight, robust observability, and essential safeguards, particularly for workflows involving business-critical or sensitive data.
• • Ultimately, you will be a hands-on engineer who is highly collaborative, writes production code, owns systems in production, and is accountable for the reliability and impact of what you ship.
