- • As an AI Automation Engineer at Valsoft Corporation, you will be embedded directly within one of 150+ mission-critical vertical market software companies in our global portfolio, where you will identify, design, and implement end-to-end automation solutions that transform manual, repetitive workflows into intelligent, scalable systems — directly impacting operational efficiency, customer experience, and business outcomes from day one.
- • You will audit cross-departmental workflows across sales, customer support, operations, reporting, and internal tooling by interviewing stakeholders, mapping processes, and diagnosing root causes before writing a single line of code — ensuring every automation solves a real, high-stakes problem rather than chasing technology for its own sake.
- • You will translate messy, manual processes into clean, reliable automated systems using the right tool for the job — whether that’s AI agents, no-code platforms like Make, Zapier, or n8n, custom scripts, or hybrid approaches — always prioritizing production-quality, maintainable solutions that ship, stick, and deliver measurable ROI.
- • You will own the full delivery lifecycle: scoping, building, deploying, measuring impact, and iterating based on feedback — working closely with company leadership to prioritize initiatives, communicate value in business terms, and ensure adoption across technical and non-technical teams.
- • Over time, you will operate across multiple portfolio companies, building a repeatable playbook for AI-driven automation that Valsoft can scale across its entire ecosystem — turning your individual contributions into a standardized, measurable framework for operational excellence.

- • Proven experience automating real business workflows that have shipped and delivered sustained value — not just prototypes or experiments, but solutions that are actively used and producing measurable time or cost savings in production environments.
- • Fluency across modern automation tooling, including the ability to assess and select the optimal approach (e.g., Make, Zapier, n8n, custom Python/JavaScript, AI agents, or RPA) based on complexity, scalability, and integration needs.
- • Strong technical foundation enabling you to build production-grade, reliable, and maintainable systems — including proficiency in scripting, APIs, data transformation, and basic cloud/infrastructure concepts — without relying solely on low-code platforms.
- • Exceptional problem-framing and analytical skills: you consistently ask the right questions to uncover root causes before jumping to solutions, especially in ambiguous situations where the problem is poorly defined but the pain is real.
- • Strong communication and storytelling abilities: you can clearly explain technical solutions, their business impact, and ROI to non-technical stakeholders, including executives and operations leaders, using plain language and data-driven narratives.
- • High comfort with ambiguity and self-direction: you thrive when given a broad mission like "make this department run better" and can independently scope, prioritize, and execute without constant oversight.
