Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Architect the AI-first future of Jimdo. You will be the hands-on builder who turns cutting-edge AI research into production-grade systems that every team at Jimdo relies on every day. From autonomous agents that handle customer onboarding to MCP-powered integrations that sync data across our entire tech stack, your code becomes the invisible engine behind 250 colleagues in 15 countries.
- • Embed directly with product squads, marketing, finance, and customer success to surface their gnarliest pain points. You will run rapid discovery workshops, map workflows, and zero-in on the 20 % of automations that unlock 80 % of value—then ship working prototypes in days, not months.
- • Design and deploy LLM-driven agents that live inside our existing micro-service architecture. You will choose the right model (OpenAI, Claude, or open-source), craft bullet-proof prompts, wire up vector stores for long-term memory, and orchestrate everything with n8n or custom Python pipelines so that reliability, cost, and latency are always under control.
- • Build reusable AI components—prompt libraries, agent templates, observability dashboards—that any engineer at Jimdo can drop into their project. Your internal “AI SDK” will become the standard way teams add intelligence to features without reinventing the wheel.
- • Run enablement bootcamps that turn skeptics into power users. You will create bite-sized tutorials, host live coding sessions, and pair-program with PMs until they can tweak prompts and spin up new automations on their own. Your success is measured by how quickly teams stop needing you.
- • Establish feedback loops that keep our AI stack honest. You will instrument every agent with tracing, set up automated evals, and surface weekly metrics on adoption, cost savings, and user delight. When drift or hallucinations appear, you debug and redeploy before anyone notices.
- • Champion security, privacy, and GDPR compliance in every line of AI code. You will implement PII redaction, consent flows, and model audit trails so that Jimdo remains the trusted partner for micro-business owners across Europe.
- • Contribute to our open-source culture by publishing blog posts, speaking at meetups, and sharing reusable patterns. Your thought leadership will attract the next wave of builders to Jimdo and cement our reputation as the most AI-native website platform on the planet.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of production-grade software engineering, ideally in SaaS or product-led companies.
- • 3+ years shipping applied AI/ML systems—hands-on with LLMs, embeddings, agents, prompt engineering, vector stores, and workflow orchestration (e.g., n8n, LangChain).
- • Track record of co-building AI-powered solutions that measurably automate operations or elevate customer experience.
- • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical topics into practical guidance for non-experts and to run internal enablement or coaching initiatives.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote-first culture with flexible hours and a generous workation policy—work from anywhere while staying connected to 50-nationality team.
- • Annual compensation reviews, remote office set-up bonus, and up to three lifetime Jimdo websites for your personal or side projects.
- • Continuous growth budget: LinkedIn Learning, technical e-learning platforms, conference tickets, Hack Weeks, and Deep Work Thursdays.
- • Flat hierarchies, swift decision-making, and direct reporting line to the VP of AI for high-impact visibility from day one.
