📋 Description

• Architect, develop, and deploy high-performance, scalable AI applications into production environments, ensuring robust integrations with WRITER’s end-to-end platform.
• Drive the development of intelligent agents and AI-powered features, translating complex research into practical, impactful solutions for enterprise customers including Mars, Marriott, Uber, and Vanguard.
• Collaborate closely with research scientists, data scientists, and product managers to define technical requirements and deliver features that address critical business needs.
• Contribute to the research and evaluation of emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tools to maintain WRITER’s leadership in the enterprise generative AI space.
• Champion responsible AI practices, including bias detection, explainability, and safety alignment, ensuring all AI systems are trustworthy and ethically aligned.
• Build and optimize large language models (LLMs) grounded in company-specific data to power enterprise-grade AI agents with measurable productivity gains.
• Work in a hybrid environment from either the San Francisco or New York City office hubs, reporting to the Head of AI Engineering.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code for scalable software systems that support high-throughput AI inference and training workflows.
• Implement MLOps pipelines for managing the full AI lifecycle, including model versioning, monitoring, retraining, and deployment automation.
• Ensure AI systems are scalable, reliable, and secure across cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to align AI capabilities with product roadmaps and customer success goals.
• Evaluate and integrate state-of-the-art deep learning architectures and natural language processing techniques into production systems.
• Maintain a strong focus on ethical AI, actively identifying and mitigating risks related to fairness, transparency, and model safety.
• Translate research breakthroughs into production-ready AI solutions that directly enhance the performance of WRITER’s enterprise platform.
• Engage in continuous learning by staying current with advancements in generative AI, LLM optimization, and enterprise AI deployment patterns.
• Own end-to-end delivery of AI features from concept through deployment, with accountability for performance, scalability, and user impact.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and deploying machine learning or AI systems in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• A strong foundation in machine learning principles, deep learning architectures, and natural language processing, particularly with large language models.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps tools for managing the AI lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and well-tested code for scalable software systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges with creative AI solutions.
