- • Are you a visionary technical leader with a passion for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC)? Do you thrive at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and strategic business objectives? Pure Storage is seeking dynamic, hands-on AI/HPC Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to join our rapidly expanding Everpure Systems Engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of reshaping the data storage industry and to drive significant growth in the AI and HPC markets.
- • As a key member of our technical sales force, you will be instrumental in developing and leading Pure Storage's AI and HPC business across your assigned region. Your primary focus will be to provide expert guidance, enablement, and support for sales opportunities and strategic partnerships. You will be tasked with deeply understanding our clients' and partners' overarching business goals and articulating precisely how Pure Storage's innovative value proposition and advanced technical capabilities can be leveraged to achieve those objectives.
- • This role demands a profound expertise in AI and HPC technologies, processes, and the leading players in the market. You will act as a trusted advisor, empowering our account teams and channel partners with the knowledge and strategies necessary to effectively identify, qualify, and position AI and HPC opportunities. Your ability to work cross-functionally with diverse departments, including sales, product management, and marketing, will be crucial for aligning initiatives and executing go-to-market campaigns.
- • You will be responsible for creating compelling customer-facing content, including detailed technical walkthroughs, in-depth solution deep dives, and qualification guides specifically tailored for AI and HPC engagements. Your insights will also guide leadership on the most effective methodologies and strategies to enhance our overall AI and HPC knowledge base and solidify Pure Storage's market leadership in this critical domain.
- • A significant part of your role will involve actively leading and participating in customer-facing activities such as technical calls, product demonstrations, Proofs of Concept (POCs), Executive Briefing Center (EBC) engagements, and internal strategy and sizing sessions. You will be adept at connecting complex technology solutions, encompassing the Pure Storage portfolio and broader ecosystem components, to tangible, measurable customer business outcomes.
- • You will refine our sales strategies and tactics, taking ownership of the technical responsibilities within opportunities. Your ability to delight customers and colleagues with your technical leadership and deep domain expertise in storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings across DAS, NAS, and SAN will be highly valued.
- • A core function will be capturing customer requirements and translating their business needs into innovative, scalable solutions that accelerate their growth and capacity. You will also play a significant role in, or lead, responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- • Proactively seek out and foster new opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation. You will promote mutual roadmap and planning exchanges with key partners and customers, ensuring alignment and driving future innovation.
- • Collaborate closely with Product and Technical Marketing teams to develop essential materials, such as whitepapers and web presentations, that support overarching alliance plans and objectives. Continuously monitor the competitive landscape, ensuring our positioning materials accurately reflect the latest differentiated solutions.
- • Stay ahead of market trends and competitive shifts to promote thought leadership both within Pure Storage and externally. You will be recognized as the go-to solution expert for complex POCs and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) calculations.
- • Provide daily support and enablement via Slack, influencing customer and opportunity outcomes. Offer post-sales assistance with expert-level knowledge of our solutions, ensuring continued customer satisfaction and success.
- • Partner closely with Sales and Systems Engineering Leaders, fostering two-way feedback and communication to drive continuous improvement. Engage extensively with other Go-To-Market (GTM) and corporate functions, demonstrating a high degree of cross-functional collaboration.
- • Cultivate strong internal relationships across Pure Storage, communicating effectively and aligning individuals within your direct team and beyond to achieve shared goals.
- • This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a strong ownership mindset, driven to exceed expectations and propel the business forward. You possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences. You can articulate and understand customer strategies and Pure Storage's solution strategies at a deep technical level for the AI and HPC domain, and effectively teach these concepts to systems engineers and account executives.
- • You bring strong technical and tactical problem-solving skills, coupled with experience in complex engineering designs. Proficiency with CRM and opportunity management systems, particularly Salesforce.com, is expected. Finally, you must be willing and able to travel throughout your assigned territories as required to meet with clients and partners.
