📋 Description

• As the inaugural AI Lead at the Sei Development Foundation, you will be the strategic architect and operational catalyst who embeds artificial intelligence into the core of how the organization functions—transforming abstract potential into tangible, daily efficiency gains across every team. This is not a theoretical or research-focused role; you will diagnose real workflows, deploy practical AI solutions, and institutionalize them so they become the new standard for how work gets done, directly amplifying the impact of Sei’s mission to advance blockchain performance and scalability.
• You will begin by conducting a rapid, organization-wide audit of current AI usage and operational workflows, pinpointing high-leverage opportunities where AI can meaningfully accelerate research, reporting, communications, and decision-making. From there, you’ll design, test, and refine prompt chains and automated workflows for functions like executive briefings, partner outreach, and meeting follow-through, integrating them into Sei’s existing stack (Slack, Notion, Monday.com, Google Workspace) to eliminate repetitive manual handoffs and build scalable, agentic systems where appropriate.
• Beyond implementation, you will drive organizational adoption by training founders, leadership, and cross-functional teams on AI best practices, creating lightweight, self-serve documentation, and maintaining a living AI playbook that codifies approved prompts, evaluation criteria, and role-specific workflows. You’ll measure impact through metrics like hours saved, output quality, and adoption rates, reporting directly to founders on progress and iterating continuously based on real-world usage and feedback.
• The Sei Development Foundation is the steward of Sei, the first parallelized Layer 1 blockchain that reimagines the Ethereum Virtual Machine for unprecedented performance and scalability—combining Web2 speed with Web3 decentralization. 🎯 Requirements

• Professional experience with deep, hands-on daily usage of AI tools in real work contexts, with demonstrable systems you’ve built that improve the quality and speed of your own work
• Proven track record of implementing AI workflows in real organizations with measurable, production-level impact—not pilots, but systems teams actually use and rely on
• Strong prompt engineering skills: ability to structure context, chain reasoning, control output format, and evaluate reliability across models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
• Systems thinking: you see workflows as interconnected processes and design scalable solutions that go beyond isolated tasks
• Exceptional communicator with experience translating complex AI concepts into clear, practical guidance for non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite leadership
• Background in operations, product, strategy, or engineering, with a high ownership mentality and comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where execution speed is paramount
