- • The AI/ML Engineer will design and build a hybrid rule-based and machine learning system to map unstructured contractor text into a structured 4-tier SAP catalog hierarchy, detect anomalies, and continuously improve through operator feedback, supporting a critical data migration initiative for a Fortune 500 global energy company.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include authoring technical architecture documents, developing NLP pipelines for text classification and keyword extraction, implementing anomaly detection models, creating feedback loops for model retraining, and wrapping the final model as a microservice for integration into the client’s SAP-enabled web application.

- • In this role, the engineer will gain hands-on experience deploying ML systems in regulated enterprise environments, deepen expertise in NLP and MLOps practices, contribute to a high-visibility SAP S/4HANA migration project, and strengthen their ability to communicate technical designs to cross-functional stakeholders.
🎯 Requirements
- • NLP/text classification in Python using scikit-learn or HuggingFace transformers
- • Experience creating architecture documentation understandable to non-technical audiences
- • Proficiency in rule-based NLP techniques including keyword extraction, regex, and scoring logic
- • Ability to build and evaluate ML classification pipelines with data preparation, tuning, and validation
- • Experience with anomaly detection in tabular data
- • Proficiency in Python data science stack: pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, and optionally spaCy
- • Skill in designing model feedback loops that incorporate user corrections for retraining
- • Experience wrapping ML models as APIs or microservices for integration into larger applications
