- • As an AI & ML Engineering Coach at Leland Technologies Inc., you will play a pivotal role in empowering the next generation of AI and machine learning talent by providing expert guidance to students and early-career professionals navigating competitive technical interviews and career transitions. Your expertise will directly impact mentees’ ability to secure roles at top-tier companies by helping them build compelling resumes, master technical interview concepts, and develop industry-relevant projects that showcase real-world ML engineering skills.
- • Day to day, you will conduct one-on-one virtual coaching sessions tailored to individual mentee goals, review and provide actionable feedback on resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and project portfolios, simulate technical and behavioral interviews with detailed debriefs, guide mentees in selecting and building end-to-end ML projects that demonstrate production-ready skills, share insights on current industry tools, frameworks, and best practices in ML infrastructure and model deployment, and adapt your coaching approach based on mentee background, learning pace, and target roles (e.g., ML Engineer, Data Scientist, AI Research Engineer).

- • In this role, you will deepen your own expertise by articulating complex ML concepts clearly, refine your communication and mentorship abilities across diverse learner profiles, gain exposure to a wide range of career trajectories and hiring practices across the AI/ML industry, and contribute to shaping a scalable model for equitable access to high-quality technical coaching—all while maintaining full autonomy over your schedule, rates, and session frequency as an independent contractor.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience working on production-level machine learning systems, models, or infrastructure at reputable technology companies
- • Strong ability to explain both theoretical foundations and practical applications of AI/ML concepts to audiences with varying technical backgrounds
- • Demonstrated experience in technical interview preparation, including coding, system design, and ML-specific interview formats
- • Experience reviewing and improving resumes, project portfolios, or LinkedIn profiles for technical roles
- • Comfortable delivering feedback in a constructive, encouraging, and professional manner
- • Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and deliver consistent, high-quality coaching sessions remotely
