📋 Description

• Lead the newly formed AI Operations team at M-KOPA to design, ship, and scale automations and AI agents that improve internal workflows and support financial inclusion across Africa.
• Own delivery and development of two AI Ops Engineers, prioritize cross-team requests using a clear framework, and build production-grade automations using agentic frameworks like LangChain, MCP, and Google ADK.
• Join a proven tech foundation with 12 months of Claude, Notion, HiBob, and Entra automations already in production, reporting to the Director of Security to shape a high-impact, product-focused team from the ground up.
• Drive measurable impact by enabling 2,500+ employees across Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, the UK, and Europe to work smarter, directly supporting M-KOPA’s mission to expand financial inclusion for underserved communities.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience building automations using scripting, workflow tools, or AI-assisted development
• Hands-on experience building AI agents using agentic frameworks such as LangChain, MCP, or Google ADK
• Background in enterprise tooling including identity automation (Entra), internal platforms, or rapid prototyping tools (Vercel/Railway)
• Proven people leadership experience — having led or mentored engineers and owned team delivery and development
