- • Serve as the translation layer between executive finance clients and AI engineering teams, converting ambiguous business problems into clear, actionable engineering requirements including PRDs, user stories, and functional specs.
- • Lead end-to-end AI product delivery within purpose-built pods that combine AI engineers, data scientists, and product management to drive finance and operations transformation for private equity-backed companies.
- • Conduct client discovery sessions with CFOs and private equity operators, building trust and rapidly filling knowledge gaps in finance domains such as FP&A, financial close, ERP systems, and finance transformation.
- • Own sprint planning and delivery coordination across cross-functional AI and data science teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and success criteria defined before development begins.
- • Define measurable KPIs and success metrics for AI-powered features prior to build, ensuring outcomes are tied directly to client value and business impact.
- • Proactively identify and communicate when AI systems underperform, bridging technical diagnostics with clear, client-facing explanations to maintain trust and credibility.
- • Use AI tools for 50% or more of daily written output—including requirements, stakeholder communications, research, and sprint planning—to accelerate output and improve clarity.
- • Travel to client sites as needed to support engagements, facilitate workshops, and ensure seamless delivery of AI solutions in real-world finance environments.
- • Demonstrate materially faster and higher-quality output through intentional, effective use of AI tools—not just usage, but measurable productivity gains.
- • Build and maintain a reputation as a leader who can run meetings, write tight documentation, and hold sprints together under high-pressure, fast-paced delivery cycles.
- • Deeply understand the capabilities and limitations of LLMs and agentic AI systems to craft requirements that are technically grounded and avoid naive assumptions about AI behavior.
- • Operate in a high-velocity environment with sprint-based delivery cycles, where speed, judgment, and adaptability are critical—no slow quarter-by-quarter planning.
- • Drive product-market fit and client adoption of AI tools by focusing on commercial outcomes, value capture, and real-world usability in finance operations.
- • Collaborate directly with the AI Lab team to operationalize cutting-edge agentic-AI solutions, RAG pipelines, and evaluation frameworks into client-facing consulting products.
- • Work across diverse sectors including Retail, CPG, Healthcare, Media & Entertainment, Technology, and Logistics, applying domain knowledge to tailor AI solutions for each client’s unique finance challenges.
- • Deliver at least one full end-to-end AI engagement from discovery through production within the first six months, establishing credibility with both internal pods and external clients.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–6+ years of product management or delivery management experience in a technical or AI product context
- • Proven experience in private equity, finance, or financial consulting domains (e.g., FP&A, financial close, ERP systems, finance transformation)
- • Background in consulting or professional services delivery
- • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear engineering requirements
- • Experience working directly with engineers on AI/ML or data-intensive products
- • AI tools are woven into daily work, with concrete evidence of materially faster output due to their use
