📋 Description

• As an AI QA Specialist at Hitachi Digital, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and ethical integrity of enterprise-grade AI systems before they are deployed across global operations. Your work directly supports Hitachi’s mission to deliver trusted AI solutions that drive real-world impact in industries ranging from manufacturing to healthcare, by validating that models perform accurately, fairly, and in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• You will design and execute comprehensive test strategies for complex AI systems, including large language models (LLMs), agentic AI frameworks, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines. This involves creating QA frameworks tailored to multi-agent orchestration workflows, developing functional, regression, and performance test suites, and validating model outputs for accuracy, bias, hallucination, and explainability. You will also monitor AI observability metrics, enforce governance policies, and collaborate with data scientists and engineers to identify and resolve quality gaps early in the development lifecycle.
• You will join Hitachi Digital, the fastest-growing division of Hitachi Group, which integrates domain expertise and digital capabilities across GlobalLogic, Hitachi Digital Services, Hitachi Vantara, and other group companies to deliver end-to-end digital transformation solutions. As part of a global, 1,000-strong diverse team, you’ll contribute to the One Hitachi initiative—fusing OT, IT, and Product—to build innovative, socially responsible technologies that address real-world challenges.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in AI quality assurance, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge generative AI systems, MLOps practices, and AI governance frameworks. You’ll develop skills in model validation, bias detection, observability tooling, and compliance testing—positioning yourself at the forefront of responsible AI development while contributing to solutions that are scalable, trustworthy, and aligned with global ethical standards.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in quality assurance or testing of AI/ML systems, including LLMs, agentic workflows, or RAG pipelines, with strong understanding of model validation techniques for accuracy, bias, and hallucination.
• Proficiency in designing and executing functional, regression, and performance tests for AI systems, preferably using Python-based testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Selenium, or custom validation scripts) and familiarity with MLops tools like MLflow, Weights & Biases, or Evidently AI.
• Solid grasp of AI governance, compliance standards (e.g., EU AI Act, ISO 42001), and ethical AI principles, with ability to enforce fairness, transparency, and accountability in model outputs.
• Experience with data pipeline validation and monitoring, including data drift detection, grounding checks in RAG systems, and observability for agentic AI behaviors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to document test results clearly, communicate findings to cross-functional teams (data science, engineering, product), and drive remediation of quality issues.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field; equivalent practical experience in AI testing may be considered.
