📋 Description

• As an AI Strategist at Distyl, you will be at the forefront of transforming Fortune 500 companies by leading the development and implementation of production-grade AI systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring our clients achieve tangible value from their Generative AI investments, often for the first time, by deeply understanding their challenges and architecting impactful solutions. You will act as the primary client-facing lead for engagements, responsible for the entire project lifecycle from initial problem identification through to successful user adoption and ongoing iteration.
• Your core mission is to own business outcomes and ensure that the project team, comprising motivated engineers and researchers, consistently delivers exceptional value to the customer. This involves a deep dive into complex enterprise workflows to pinpoint opportunities where AI can address critical pain points and drive significant operational improvements. You will be the trusted advisor, guiding clients through the complexities of AI implementation and demonstrating clear ROI.
• A key aspect of this role is earning and maintaining customer trust. This requires a profound sense of empathy for the end-user and a meticulous understanding of their daily challenges. You will be the face of Distyl, managing relationships across all levels of the client organization, from individual users to executive stakeholders. By truly embedding yourself in their operational realities, you will gain insights that surpass even those of the users themselves, enabling you to identify the most valuable problems to solve.
• You will be responsible for scoping meaningful projects that promise high impact and then leading your team to deliver systems characterized by high quality and exceptional model accuracy. Your accountability extends beyond the initial delivery to actively driving user adoption and iterating on the product to maximize its ongoing value and impact.

• A significant part of your role will involve driving user adoption of the enterprise applications and platforms Distyl deploys. This means not only ensuring the technology is implemented correctly but also actively working with users to integrate the AI solutions into their daily routines, thereby ensuring they realize the intended benefits and value. Your engagement is continuous, focused on making the AI a truly indispensable tool.
• You will also serve as a crucial feedback loop to Distyl's product development. 🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in managing complex projects or strategic leadership roles, with demonstrable client-facing experience in AI, technology integration, or consulting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and effectively bridge the gap between technical teams and business leaders.
• Deep user empathy and a customer-obsessed approach, with a strong ability to understand user needs and translate them into actionable AI solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, identify critical problems, define clear outcomes, and structure complex initiatives.
• Proficiency in programming, scripting, or statistical packages (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, SQL) is essential for understanding technical possibilities and constraints.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25-75% of the time, depending on project needs and team requirements.
