- • As a Senior Algorithm Engineer at Gorilla, you will design, optimize, and scale algorithms that power the company’s data solutions for the energy sector, directly contributing to a lower-carbon future through cutting-edge SaaS platforms.
- • You will lead technical design discussions, translate complex energy-market requirements into performant and scalable data solutions, and improve the robustness and efficiency of existing models processing millions of data points.
- • You will collaborate with Product, Data, and Delivery teams, mentor peers through code reviews and knowledge sharing, and contribute to architectural decisions and reusable frameworks that set standards for algorithmic excellence.
- • You will gain deep expertise in energy data systems, strengthen your technical leadership abilities, and grow alongside a fast-scaling company focused on innovation and impact in the energy transition.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying algorithms or data models (e.g., forecasting, pricing, optimization) in production environments.
- • Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools such as SQL, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Dask, Polars, DuckDB, or PySpark.
- • Experience designing, building, maintaining, and evolving microservice architectures and distributed systems.
- • Experience working with large-scale or high-frequency datasets such as smart meter, weather, or IoT data.
- • Familiarity with SaaS or software product environments; experience in energy or strong motivation to learn it is a plus.
- • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- • Proven experience mentoring and supporting other engineers through code reviews, documentation, and collaborative problem-solving.
