  • • Are you a seasoned Amazon FBA expert with a passion for product strategy and a proven track record of driving commercial success? Hangar Aviation Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly autonomous and results-oriented Amazon FBA Product Strategy Lead to spearhead the relaunch and scaling of an existing e-commerce store. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your deep understanding of the Amazon marketplace, from product selection and sourcing to launch and sustained growth, all within a remote work environment.
  • • In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary owner of the Amazon store's commercial outcomes. You will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive product strategy, identifying high-potential categories, and building a robust product roadmap. Your expertise will be crucial in sequencing product launches to maximize market impact and profitability. This is a hands-on position that requires a blend of strategic thinking and meticulous execution, empowering you to shape the future of our Amazon presence.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve identifying and sourcing profitable products. This includes conducting thorough supplier discovery, leading negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing, meticulously modeling landed costs, and ensuring target profit margins are met. Your ability to build strong, reliable supplier relationships will be key to maintaining a competitive edge and ensuring a consistent supply chain.
  • • You will also take full ownership of listing creation and optimization. This involves developing compelling product positioning, implementing effective keyword strategies for maximum visibility, driving conversion rate improvements through data-driven insights, and maintaining the overall quality and integrity of the product catalog. Your efforts will directly impact customer acquisition and sales performance.
  • • Operational excellence is paramount. You will be responsible for building and managing operational plans for inventory and fulfillment, with a primary focus on Amazon FBA. You will strategically assess and implement Fulfillment by Merchant (FBM) or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) solutions where they offer a distinct advantage. This includes forecasting demand, managing stock levels, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment to meet customer expectations.
  • • Collaboration with creative and marketing resources will be essential. You will effectively brief teams or freelancers on requirements for high-quality product images, engaging A+ content, appealing packaging designs, and cohesive brand assets. Your clear direction will ensure that all visual and brand elements align with the product strategy and enhance customer appeal.
  • • Performance monitoring and continuous improvement are at the core of this role. You will meticulously track and analyze key performance metrics, including contribution margin, pricing strategies, inventory health (e.g., turnover rates, stock-outs), and advertising efficiency. Your insights will drive data-informed decisions to optimize profitability and operational effectiveness.
  • • As the business grows, you will have the opportunity to establish repeatable processes that facilitate scaling. This includes documenting workflows, implementing best practices, and preparing to build and support a small, high-performing team. Your leadership will be instrumental in scaling operations efficiently and effectively.
  • • This role demands a high degree of autonomy and accountability. You will be expected to operate with minimal direction, demonstrating strong commercial and operational judgment in all aspects of product selection, supplier management, and inventory planning. Your ability to thrive in a remote setting, utilizing collaboration tools effectively, is a non-negotiable requirement.
  • • We are looking for an individual who can not only manage the day-to-day operations but also envision and execute a long-term product strategy that positions our brand for sustained success on Amazon. If you are a strategic thinker, a meticulous operator, and a proactive problem-solver, this role offers the perfect platform to make a significant impact and build a rewarding, long-term career.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 6+ years of direct Amazon FBA experience, with a demonstrable history of owning product selection, sourcing, and scaling strategies.
  • • Proven ability to manage vendor and wholesaler relationships, including confident negotiation of pricing and terms.
  • • Strong commercial and operational judgment, with a solid understanding of product selection, supplier management, and inventory/fulfillment planning.
  • • Demonstrated comfort and success operating as a "single-threaded owner" with high accountability and minimal direct supervision.
  • • Prior remote work experience is mandatory, coupled with fluency in remote collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana) and ideally experience working with US or UK-based companies.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive compensation package.
  • • Fully remote work environment, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
  • • Opportunity to lead product strategy and drive significant growth for an existing Amazon store.
  • • Potential for team leadership and building a small team as the business scales.
  • • Access to a network of fast-growing global companies through Hire Hangar.
  • • Real growth opportunities within a dynamic e-commerce landscape.
