- • Be the go-to Workday expert for Sysco’s Global HRIS team, owning the configuration, optimization, and governance of the Compensation module and all related HCM, ATS, Payroll, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, and Time & Attendance functionality across 71,000 colleagues in 333 distribution facilities worldwide.
- • Architect scalable, future-proof solutions by translating complex business requirements into clean Workday configurations, automated workflows, and bullet-proof integrations that eliminate manual touchpoints and drive measurable efficiency gains for HR Shared Services and Centers of Excellence.
- • Lead the full project lifecycle—requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, test-script creation, end-to-end testing, user-acceptance testing, and deployment—while ensuring downstream impacts to payroll, benefits, and compliance are fully vetted and documented.
- • Champion an agile, sprint-based delivery model: participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives; maintain a prioritized, executable backlog; and continuously refine scope to maximize value and minimize risk in a fast-moving, global environment.
- • Serve as second-level escalation point for intricate Workday issues that first-level support cannot resolve, triaging tickets, performing root-cause analysis, and delivering timely fixes that protect the colleague experience and uphold data integrity.
- • Design and implement automated business processes and security frameworks that reduce cycle time for merit increases, bonus allocations, and time-off approvals while enforcing global governance standards and audit-ready documentation.
- • Partner closely with Total Rewards, HR Shared Services, IT, Legal, and Finance to align system capabilities with evolving compensation strategies, regulatory requirements, and market trends across North America, Europe, and emerging markets.
- • Create and maintain living system documentation—process maps, configuration workbooks, test scripts, user guides, and release notes—ensuring every stakeholder has a single source of truth and new team members can ramp quickly.
- • Execute regression, integration, and user-acceptance testing for bi-annual Workday releases and ad-hoc enhancements, validating that new features perform flawlessly in production and that custom configurations remain intact.
- • Monitor system performance, data quality, and security logs; proactively identify anomalies; and implement corrective actions that safeguard sensitive HR data and maintain 99.9 % uptime for mission-critical processes.
- • Build executive-ready dashboards and advanced Workday reports that deliver real-time insights on compensation spend, pay equity, and workforce trends, enabling data-driven decisions at the highest levels of the organization.
- • Mentor junior analysts and super-users through knowledge-sharing sessions, office hours, and informal coaching, cultivating a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the Global HRIS community.
- • Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating new Workday functionality, industry best practices, and third-party tools; present findings and recommendations that position Sysco as a forward-thinking leader in HR technology.
- • Navigate ambiguity with confidence—re-prioritize initiatives, re-scope deliverables, and communicate transparently with stakeholders when business needs shift, ensuring momentum and trust are never lost.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of hands-on Workday business-process configuration experience in at least two modules (HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, or Talent).
- • Associate’s degree in HR, IT, Business, or related discipline; additional 2 years of relevant Workday experience may be substituted for degree.
- • Proven ability to gather complex requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and configure Workday solutions that scale globally.
- • Demonstrated success in agile project delivery—sprint planning, backlog grooming, user-story writing, and iterative testing—within a multicultural, matrixed organization.
- • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience creating executive-level dashboards and documentation.
- • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
