Analytics Engineer

📋 Description

• • Join Lightspeed's fast-growing Financial Services division as a talented and passionate Analytics Engineer on our FS Data team. In this key role, you'll be instrumental in overseeing all analytic and reporting needs, contributing directly to the success of every domain within Financial Services.
• • Cleanse and transform raw data into business logic to help stakeholders build reports and data models; analyze raw data and suggest data sources that best meet expressed business needs; ensure the right data gets to the right people at the right time; collaborate with the Central Data Team to build data pipelines in accordance with shared best practices and design, and feed data models for usage; act as a champion for data quality and usability across the Financial Services organization; ensure availability, quality and searchability of data and documentation; write, clean and maintainable queries and scripts that are highly performing, well-structured and easy to understand and extend using version control and CI/CD; automate testing of data models and add appropriate validations to ensure quality; help define and improve our internal standards for data models and infrastructure; explain intermediate to complex information to other team members; maintain or develop simple report or dashboard in Looker.
• • Work within a collaborative, cross-functional team that partners with Application Engineering, Product, Operations, Risk and Finance; Lightspeed is a global company serving retail, hospitality, and golf businesses in over 100 countries, founded in 2005 in Montreal’s gay village with an ethos of inclusion from the beginning.
