đź“‹ Description
- • As an Analytics Engineer at ClickUp, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into trusted, actionable insights that power strategic decisions across the organization. Your work will directly influence product development, go-to-market strategies, and operational efficiency by ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and reliable for teams ranging from engineering to executive leadership.
- • You will architect and maintain performant, reusable data models using dbt and Snowflake, enabling scalable analytics that support ClickUp’s rapid growth and AI-driven innovation. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence, where your contributions will help break down data silos and empower teams to make faster, more informed decisions.
- • Day to day, you will design and implement complex SQL transformations that cleanse, enrich, and structure data for downstream consumption, ensuring adherence to data quality standards and performance best practices.
- • You will collaborate closely with product, marketing, finance, and engineering stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate them into robust, well-documented data models that serve as the foundation for dashboards, reports, and machine learning pipelines.
- • You will champion data observability by leveraging tools like Metaplane to monitor data freshness, volume, schema, and lineage, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact business operations.
- • You will contribute to the evolution of ClickUp’s data culture by promoting engineering best practices in analytics — including version control with Git, unit testing, data quality checks, and modular, reusable dbt components — ensuring the analytics stack remains maintainable and scalable.
- • You will stay current with emerging AI-assisted development tools like Cursor and Windsurf, experimenting with and integrating them into your workflow to enhance productivity and code quality without compromising rigor.
- • You will participate in knowledge sharing sessions, mentor junior analysts, and help establish governance frameworks that promote consistency, transparency, and trust in data across the enterprise.
- • The Analytics Engineering team at ClickUp is a collaborative, high-impact group embedded within the broader Data & Analytics organization, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver a unified data platform that supports the company’s mission to redefine productivity through AI.
- • ClickUp fosters a culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning — you’ll have the autonomy to experiment with new technologies, propose improvements to the data stack, and see the tangible impact of your work on product decisions and customer outcomes.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern data stack technologies (Snowflake, dbt, SQL, Metaplane, Hex) while gaining exposure to AI-augmented workflows and enterprise-scale SaaS analytics challenges — positioning you as a versatile, future-ready data professional.
- • You will achieve measurable impact by improving data reliability, reducing time-to-insight for stakeholders, and enabling data-driven decision-making at scale — accomplishments that will strengthen your portfolio and open doors to senior technical or leadership roles in data engineering, analytics, or AI enablement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience in analytics or data engineering, with at least 1 year specifically as an Analytics Engineer
- • Proficiency in SQL and data warehouse performance optimization techniques, particularly in Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
- • Hands-on experience contributing to dbt projects, including writing unit tests, implementing data quality checks, and building reusable, modular models
- • Strong ability to diagnose data issues proactively and communicate findings clearly to build trust in data across technical and non-technical teams
- • Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development in a team environment
- • Experience with data observability tools such as Metaplane, including setting up monitors for freshness, volume, schema, and lineage
- • Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf) to enhance coding efficiency and code quality
- • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a track record of turning ambiguous business questions into precise data solutions
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders including product, marketing, finance, and engineering

- • Remote-first work flexibility with options for hybrid or fully remote arrangements based on role and team needs
- • Access to cutting-edge AI tools and internal innovation labs to experiment with emerging technologies
- • Equity participation through stock options, allowing employees to share in ClickUp’s long-term success
