📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end data modeling strategy for Business Analytics at Qonto, ensuring that every table, metric, and semantic layer powering Growth, Finance, and Product decisions is trustworthy, performant, and future-proof for 500,000+ customers today and one million SMEs by 2025.
• • Define and enforce a crystal-clear operating model between Analytics Engineering and Business Analytics—writing SLAs, ownership matrices, review cycles, coding standards, and living documentation that become the single source of truth for how data products are built and maintained.
• • Lead, mentor, and grow a tight-knit team of three Analytics Engineers embedded within Business Analytics, running weekly rituals, 1:1 coaching, and continuous feedback loops that raise the bar on code quality, testing rigor, and stakeholder empathy.
• • Spend roughly 30 % of your time hands-on in dbt, cloud data warehouses, and modern orchestration platforms, shipping production-grade data models while the remaining 70 % focuses on leadership, architecture reviews, and cross-functional alignment.
• • Establish measurable KPIs for model reliability, freshness, and documentation coverage, then instrument observability and lineage tooling so the entire company can see—and trust—the health of our data in real time.
• • Partner shoulder-to-shoulder with Business Analytics leadership to translate ambitious OKRs into a prioritized roadmap, ensuring every sprint delivers models that directly move revenue, reduce churn, or unlock new product capabilities.
• • Champion a culture of experimentation with AI—automating linting, test generation, documentation scaffolding, and code reviews—while safeguarding quality through human oversight and rigorous peer review.
• • Evangelize emerging semantic-layer technologies (dbt Semantic Layer, Cube, MetricFlow) across the organization, running proof-of-concepts that shorten the path from raw data to self-service insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• • Act as the final gatekeeper for data governance, versioning, and backward compatibility, protecting downstream users from breaking changes and ensuring every release is accompanied by clear migration guides and deprecation timelines.
• • Contribute to Qonto’s open, inclusive culture by sharing knowledge in internal guilds, mentoring junior analysts, and participating in hiring panels that prioritize skills and potential over pedigree.
