- • The REW Data & Technology team is at the forefront of building the essential data infrastructure that empowers OpenAI to strategically plan, efficiently operate, and effectively scale its expanding real estate and workplace footprint across the globe.
- • Your core mission will be to construct and maintain high-quality data models, sophisticated data pipelines, and compelling Tableau visualizations. These assets will be instrumental in enabling OpenAI to make informed, data-driven decisions concerning office spaces, the intricacies of workplace operations, and the overall employee experience.
- • You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Workplace Operations, Finance, and Technology teams. This partnership will involve translating complex, real-world operational challenges into reliable, scalable, and actionable analytics products that drive tangible improvements.
- • This role demands a strong focus on execution and delivery. You will be responsible for shipping trusted, accurate datasets, building production-ready dashboards that provide critical insights, and contributing significantly to a rapidly growing analytics platform.

- • A crucial aspect of your role will be defining and upholding canonical REW metrics and comprehensive documentation. This ensures consistency and clarity in how data is interpreted and utilized across different teams, fostering a unified understanding of performance and operational efficiency.
- • You will be tasked with integrating diverse data sources, including critical information from HR systems, office space management tools (like OfficeSpace), badge and access control systems, meeting room booking platforms, and real-time presence and occupancy sensors.
- • Implementing rigorous data quality checks, automated tests, and proactive monitoring systems is essential to guarantee the utmost reliability and accuracy of REW metrics.
- • You will have the opportunity to build and optimize real-time data pipelines that are vital for supporting agent-based operational applications, pushing the boundaries of AI-driven workplace management.
- • Furthermore, you will partner closely with product managers and fellow engineers to continuously evolve, enhance, and scale the REW data platform, ensuring it remains at the cutting edge of technological capability.

- • You will contribute to creating environments that foster productivity, innovation, and well-being, leveraging data to optimize every aspect of the workplace experience.
- • The insights you generate will influence decisions on office design, resource allocation, space utilization, and operational efficiency, making your contribution highly visible and impactful.
- • You will be instrumental in ensuring that OpenAI's physical spaces are as advanced and data-informed as its AI research, creating a seamless integration of technology and human experience.
- • This is a chance to work with a world-class team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, applying your analytical skills to solve complex problems with real-world implications.
