- • Own the pulse of APAC culture: You will scan TikTok, Instagram Reels, Twitter, Kuaishou, Douyin, and emerging platforms daily to surface micro-trends, memes, music, and creator formats before they peak, then translate them into actionable editorial calendars for YouTube Shorts in 12 APAC markets.
- • Build and run a living editorial engine: Translate trend insights into weekly, monthly, and quarterly content blueprints that specify themes, formats, hooks, and creator archetypes. Each plan must balance global brand voice with hyper-local nuance—think Hinglish humor for India, K-pop choreography for Korea, and anime mash-ups for Japan—while aligning to YouTube’s product priorities and monetisation goals.
- • Drive end-to-end go-to-market campaigns: From brief to post-mortem, you will design always-on and tent-pole campaigns that accelerate Shorts adoption. This includes writing creative briefs, briefing internal studios and external production partners, setting KPIs (views, VTR, uploads, creator acquisition), managing budgets, and ensuring every asset is localised, subtitled, and culturally checked before launch.
- • Champion data-driven storytelling: Partner with YouTube’s analytics teams to build dashboards that track real-time performance across languages and geos. You will translate numbers into narratives—why a 15-second Bollywood dance challenge outperformed a 60-second tech explainer in Indonesia—and iterate creative in flight to maximise ROI.
- • Cultivate creator and community ecosystems: Identify, vet, and onboard emerging Shorts creators across APAC, negotiate usage rights, and design co-creation programs that turn micro-creators into marquee advocates. You will also build relationships with music labels, MCNs, and fan communities to secure exclusive sounds and IP collaborations.
- • Lead cross-functional stakeholder orchestration: Act as the single source of truth between YouTube APAC social, regional marketing leads, product, PR, legal, and agency partners. You will run weekly stand-ups, quarterly business reviews, and crisis-response sprints when brand-safety issues arise, ensuring every message is consistent and culturally sensitive.
- • Innovate with AI and emerging tech: Leverage Brandtech Group’s proprietary AI tools to auto-generate captions, predictive thumbnails, and A/B test hooks at scale. Pilot AR filters, remix templates, and interactive stickers that let viewers become co-creators, pushing the boundaries of what Shorts can be.
- • Embed sustainability and inclusivity: Ensure every campaign reflects OLIVER’s science-based emissions targets—optimising for low-carbon shoots, virtual production, and diverse casting. You will also champion anti-racist storytelling, ensuring representation across gender identity, neurodiversity, and disability in every market.
- • Scale knowledge across the network: Package learnings into playbooks, run quarterly training for 40+ in-house marketers, and speak at regional creator summits to position OLIVER and YouTube as thought leaders in short-form innovation.
- • Deliver measurable business impact: Your work will directly influence YouTube’s Shorts watch-time growth, creator acquisition, and ad-revenue targets in APAC. Success means hitting 20% quarter-over-quarter growth in key markets while maintaining brand-safety scores above 99%.
