- • Build and maintain a living content calendar that balances daily hot takes, evergreen highlights, and tent-pole events (Draft, Free Agency, March Madness, Super Bowl) so every post feels timely, fresh, and unmistakably on-brand.
- • Write punchy, clever captions that mirror the tone of a sports-bar debate—equal parts humor, insight, and provocation—while threading in strategic hashtags and CTAs that drive tune-in to our audio and video shows.
- • Design eye-catching static and motion assets in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere, ensuring each visual pops in crowded feeds and meets platform-safe specs without losing the gritty, authentic aesthetic our audience loves.
- • Monitor live games, press conferences, and social chatter to identify trending moments, then pivot instantly to create reactive content that rides the wave before it crests—often within minutes, never more than an hour.
- • Engage directly with followers: reply to DMs, quote-tweet fans, drop fire-emoji responses, and surface user-generated content that can be repurposed to deepen community loyalty and showcase listener creativity.
- • Collaborate daily with the Head of Digital to review performance dashboards, A/B test posting times, formats, and copy, then translate insights into actionable next-week tactics that grow reach, saves, and shares.
- • Coordinate cross-functionally with producers, talent, and graphic designers to align social rollouts with episode drops, merch launches, and sponsor integrations, ensuring every asset is optimized per platform nuance.
- • Maintain a meticulous asset library—tagged, backed-up, and rights-cleared—so historical highlights can be resurfaced during slow news windows or milestone anniversaries without frantic last-minute searches.
- • Uphold brand safety and inclusivity standards, flagging any potentially controversial posts for legal/compliance review while still preserving the bold, opinionated voice that sets The Volume apart from sanitized corporate accounts.
- • Experiment fearlessly: pilot new formats (TikTok stitches, IG Reels remixes, X polls) and emerging platforms (Threads, YouTube Shorts) to keep The Volume ahead of the curve and where the next generation of fans is migrating.
- • Track competitor and league accounts to benchmark creative, spot whitespace, and pitch “why didn’t we think of that?” ideas that can be adapted with our unique spin within 24-48 hours.
- • Deliver concise end-of-week recaps that highlight top-performing posts, audience sentiment shifts, and upcoming opportunities so stakeholders can see the direct impact of social on overall brand growth and revenue.
