API Integration Engineer III

📋 Description

• • As an API Integration Engineer III at Availity, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable integrations between internal systems, third-party software, and externally hosted platforms to support healthcare data exchange and revenue cycle solutions.
• • Day to day, you will analyze integration requirements, configure API gateways (preferably Tyk), implement authentication mechanisms (mTLS, JWT, OAuth2), develop infrastructure as code, write technical documentation, perform unit testing, manage project timelines, and participate in on-call rotations to resolve production incidents.
• • You will join a collaborative, innovative team within Availity—a certified 'Great Place to Work' and leader in healthcare engagement technology—connecting over 2 million providers and processing 13 billion transactions annually, with headquarters in Jacksonville, FL, offices in Bangalore, and a distributed remote workforce across the U.S.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise integration, API management, cloud environments (AWS preferred), and secure web services while contributing to mission-critical healthcare infrastructure that improves patient care through seamless data exchange.
