📋 Description

• As a Staff Level AI Engineer at Vendelux Inc., you will drive the development and integration of advanced AI capabilities that transform how event marketers discover, evaluate, and maximize the impact of events. Your work will directly power the company’s AI-powered platform, enabling high-growth companies to identify ideal customer touchpoints, optimize ROI, and turn events into scalable growth channels through intelligent automation and insights.
• Day to day, you will research and apply modern AI methods such as LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and AI agents to build new product features; design and implement agentic chat systems across the Vendelux platform; architect scalable, multi-tenant AI infrastructure with observability and guardrails; collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate business needs into production-grade AI solutions; and establish patterns for AI-agent interactions with data, tools, and user workflows to make conversational AI a foundational layer of the product.
• Vendelux is a Series A SaaS company founded in 2021 and backed by FirstMark, with a recent $14M funding round. The company is transforming event marketing by providing a system of record for event data, leveraging a growing network of organizer partnerships and AI-driven meeting automation to help customers generate pipeline and maximize event impact. The team includes alumni from Bain, ZoomInfo, Airbnb, FanDuel, Shutterstock, and Compass, operating at the intersection of AI, data, and B2B SaaS innovation.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in applied AI systems, gain end-to-end ownership of AI feature lifecycle from research to production, influence the company’s AI roadmap as a technical leader, and build scalable, reliable AI infrastructure that serves real-world B2B use cases. You will have the opportunity to shape how AI is embedded into core product experiences and drive measurable business value through innovation in agentic systems and generative AI.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering or data engineering, with at least 3+ years building AI/ML-driven products
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in SQL
• Experience with modern AI frameworks (e.g., HuggingFace, LangChain) and designing data pipelines (Airflow, Dagster, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience applying LLMs and generative AI in production, including prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM deployment
• Proven track record of shipping user-facing features with measurable impact
