- • Partner with University stakeholders to analyze key use cases and requirements for the Research Management System (RMS) and other assigned applications.
- • Perform moderately complex research and systems analysis to design technical solutions using consultation with users, vendor input, and best practices.
- • Evaluate potential risks associated with vendor-provided application enhancements or new implementations, and develop mitigation plans and recommendations.
- • Advise end users on application functionality, best practices, and optimal workflows to improve adoption and efficiency.
- • Respond to and resolve moderately complex incidents and service requests using critical thinking and deep knowledge of assigned applications.
- • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for services, solutions, configurations, and application processes.
- • Plan, review, coordinate, and communicate the impact of vendor-managed application upgrades and releases to internal stakeholders.
- • Engage regularly with vendors to understand product roadmaps, functionality changes, and customer impacts, and partner with leadership to manage vendor relationships.
- • Support contract renewals, licensing activities, and compliance requirements related to assigned applications.
- • Validate, test, and implement new features, solutions, and system enhancements to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- • Develop moderately complex test plans to verify that configured solutions meet functional and operational needs.
- • Ensure application configurations and processes support University initiatives in research, teaching, and administrative operations.
- • Collaborate with a team of technical staff across WashU IT and academic units to align services with institutional goals.
- • Perform other duties as assigned to support the effective operation of research management systems and related IT services.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience substituting for minimum education
- • Two years of relevant work experience
- • Strong systems analysis and technical skills
- • Demonstrated ability to perform moderately complex research and analysis
- • Strong customer service orientation and end-user support experience
- • Experience with application configuration, administration, and incident management
