- • Design, build, and scale foundational infrastructure services that manage critical resources within Crusoe Cloud’s platform, ensuring robustness and reliability from the ground up.
- • Develop highly scalable, durable, and user-friendly platform services that empower customers to unlock the full potential of Crusoe Cloud’s managed AI infrastructure.
- • Lead cross-functional projects collaborating with engineering, cloud support, site reliability, and product teams to evaluate and implement tools, frameworks, and solutions aligned with customer and operational needs.
- • Implement innovative features that differentiate Crusoe Cloud, focusing on operational efficiency, low-touch adoption, turn-key AI services, and scalability.
- • Own end-to-end development and maintenance of specific software modules and service components, proactively identifying and executing refactoring opportunities to improve code modularity, readability, and long-term maintainability.
- • Design, develop, and deploy complex features across the full software development lifecycle, translating high-level business requirements into technical specifications that integrate seamlessly with the existing cloud architecture.
- • Lead architectural design for new functionality by creating simple, elegant solutions to complex technical problems using advanced software design patterns to minimize system complexity and prevent technical debt.
- • Identify and mitigate technical risks and roadblocks within project workstreams, enhancing team operational health through automation of manual processes and improvements to monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for production services.
- • Independently diagnose and resolve intricate software failures and performance bottlenecks, conducting root cause analysis on production incidents and implementing systemic fixes to prevent recurrence.
- • Mentor new engineers by providing technical training on team-specific software and development processes, and serve as a peer reviewer for code reviews to ensure high-quality output across the team.
- • Analyze component-level performance metrics to identify latency issues or resource inefficiencies, implementing optimizations in data handling and algorithm logic to ensure high availability and a seamless customer experience.
- • Apply strong fundamentals in microservices and infrastructure technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD systems to deliver reliable cloud services.
- • Utilize observability principles and technologies such as time-series databases, log aggregation, and distributed tracing to maintain system health and performance.
- • Maintain a customer-centric mindset, prioritizing the creation of intuitive, high-quality solutions that directly impact customer success and satisfaction.
- • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align priorities and deliver customer-first solutions with clear communication of complex technical concepts.
- • Contribute to building a strong, inclusive engineering culture through mentorship, hiring practices, and knowledge sharing.
- • Program in modern compiled languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or C++ to develop scalable cloud infrastructure and managed services.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3-5 years of software development experience, including programming with modern compiled languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or C++
- • Proven ability to design and scale fault-tolerant distributed systems and develop managed cloud services
- • Strong fundamentals in microservices and infrastructure technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD systems
- • Experience with observability principles and technologies such as time-series databases, log aggregation, and distributed tracing
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- • Ability to lead architectural design, mentor engineers, and contribute to engineering culture
