- • The Application Developer III role at Ryder System, Inc. is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that support business operations and customer needs. This role is critical to ensuring reliable, scalable, and efficient software solutions that enhance functionality and reporting capabilities across Ryder’s technology ecosystem.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and analyzing user requirements, designing and developing applications using Microsoft .NET technologies (C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API 2), implementing enhancements for customer-requested features, performing unit and integration testing, deploying solutions to live environments, and providing ongoing application support using expertise in SQL Server, SQL scripting, Java, and .NET technologies. The role also involves creating documentation to support maintenance and troubleshooting.

- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in enterprise-scale .NET development, gain hands-on experience with messaging systems (Rabbit MQ, MSMQ), advance skills in Angular-based frontend development, and strengthen database optimization techniques using Transact-SQL. They will also grow in Agile methodologies, software architecture principles, and object-oriented design patterns, positioning them for senior technical leadership or specialist roles within Ryder’s technology organization.
