- • As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer on Reddit's Ads Marketplace Quality team, you will lead the strategy and execution of initiatives to optimize the ads auction and pricing mechanisms, directly impacting advertiser and user value by ensuring the right ads reach the right users at the right time.
- • You will oversee end-to-end machine learning workflows—from data ingestion and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and deployment—while mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence across the organization.
- • You will collaborate cross-functionally with product, data science, sales, and other teams to innovate on supply optimization, ad relevance, and broader marketplace initiatives aligned with Reddit’s mission to build a best-in-class advertising platform.
- • Reddit is a community-driven platform with over 100,000 active communities and 126 million daily active unique visitors, offering a flexible remote work policy for employees in countries where Reddit has a physical presence, and fostering a culture of belonging, empowerment, and authentic conversation.

🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of industry-level product development experience, with at least 5+ years focused on data-driven marketplace optimization at scale
- • Strong knowledge of ads marketplace optimization, including demonstrated experience in designing and improving ads auction and pricing mechanisms
- • Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and programming languages (Java, Python, Golang, C++, or similar), along with solid understanding of large-scale data processing tools (Spark, Kafka, Beam, Flink)
- • Proven technical leadership in cross-functional environments, including mentoring engineers, driving architectural decisions, and influencing stakeholders across product, data science, privacy, and legal teams
- • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills to align teams on long-term vision for ads marketplace optimization
