Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join Dev Technology Group as an Application Developer and become the technical linchpin for a high-impact government program that touches millions of citizens. In this fully-remote role you will architect, build, and continuously improve enterprise-grade applications that power critical public services, working with a modern stack anchored in Java 11/17, Angular 14+, Spring Boot 3.x, and AWS native services.
- • Own the full SDLC for multiple micro-services and single-page applications, from story refinement through production deployment. You will translate complex business requirements into clean, scalable code, leveraging domain-driven design, test-driven development, and continuous integration best practices that keep defect rates near zero and customer satisfaction at 100%.
- • Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints that handle high-throughput, low-latency workloads. You will apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and reactive programming techniques to ensure services remain performant under peak loads while meeting stringent government security and compliance mandates.
- • Craft intuitive, Section 508-compliant user interfaces in Angular, collaborating with UX researchers and accessibility specialists to deliver pixel-perfect, mobile-first experiences that work flawlessly across all modern browsers and assistive technologies.
- • Automate everything: write Jenkins/GitHub Actions pipelines that package, scan, test, and deploy to AWS EKS, ECS, and Lambda; use Terraform and CloudFormation to provision infrastructure as code; and embed security scanning (SAST/DAST) into every pull request so vulnerabilities are caught before they reach staging.
- • Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and fellow engineers in two-week sprints, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. You will demo working software to stakeholders every iteration, gather feedback, and pivot quickly to keep the mission roadmap on track.
- • Troubleshoot production incidents in real time, leveraging CloudWatch, X-Ray, and Splunk to pinpoint root causes, implement hot-fixes, and document post-mortems that prevent recurrence. Your calm, data-driven approach will keep mission-critical systems running 24×7.
- • Mentor junior developers through pair programming, code reviews, and brown-bag sessions. You will champion clean code, unit/integration test coverage above 80%, and architectural decision records that raise the bar for the entire 50+ person program.
- • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies—such as AWS Graviton, Quarkus, Angular Signals, and serverless patterns—and propose pilots that reduce cost, increase velocity, or improve user experience. Your curiosity and experimentation will keep the platform three steps ahead of evolving mission needs.
- • Ensure all deliverables meet FedRAMP High, FISMA, and agency-specific security controls. You will work side-by-side with ISSOs to implement encryption in transit/at rest, role-based access control, and zero-trust networking, turning compliance into a competitive advantage rather than a checkbox exercise.
