- • As an Application Security Specialist at Revvity, you will play a pivotal role in securing applications and protecting infrastructure from potential threats, directly contributing to the company’s mission of solving global health challenges through secure, reliable technology.
- • Your work will ensure that Revvity’s software solutions—used by scientists, researchers, and clinicians worldwide—are resilient against cyber threats, enabling safe innovation in life sciences and healthcare.
- • Day to day, you will perform Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), analyze scan results, and guide development teams in remediating vulnerabilities with actionable feedback.
- • You will configure and manage security tools including Checkmarx and leverage GitHub’s native security features to continuously scan codebases and dependencies for weaknesses.
- • You will integrate security scanning into CI/CD pipelines to detect flaws early in the development lifecycle, ensuring shift-left security practices are embedded in DevOps workflows.
- • You will implement and enforce container security best practices within AWS ECS and ECR, focusing on image scanning, secure configurations, and least-privilege access controls.
- • You will lead vulnerability management efforts across the application stack—code, containers, and AWS infrastructure—coordinating scanning, prioritization, and remediation with stakeholders.
- • You will conduct penetration testing on web applications and services to identify exploitable security flaws, simulating real-world attack vectors to strengthen defenses.
- • You will participate in cross-functional triage calls, clearly communicating vulnerability risks, impacts, and remediation steps to developers, product managers, and leadership.
- • You will collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to foster a security-aware culture, advocating for secure coding practices and continuous improvement in application security posture.
- • You will stay current with emerging threats, OWASP Top 10, and industry frameworks, applying this knowledge to refine security strategies and tooling.
- • You will contribute to building a mature application security program at Revvity, helping scale security capabilities as the organization grows and innovates in the health tech space.
🎯 Requirements
- • Over 3-5 years of hands-on experience in application security.
- • Advanced proficiency in tackling technical challenges independently.
- • Basic understanding of AWS cloud technologies and environments.
- • Familiarity and experience with tools like Snyk, Veracode, Gitleaks, and Burp Suite will be an added advantage.
- • Strong knowledge of web application frameworks (such as OWASP) and CI/CD frameworks.
- • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Ruby, PHP) to develop custom scripts.
- • Familiarity with shift-left tools and application security workflows.
- • Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams towards shared goals.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
