📋 Description

  • The Application Specialist Senior role at American Ambulance Association is a full-time position focused on enhancing system functionality and supporting client business processes through effective coordination, project leadership, and technical expertise in information systems.
  • Day to day, the individual will coordinate with clients and peers to evaluate and respond to system requests, lead project teams by assigning tasks based on competencies, manage training development and delivery, provide feedback for team evaluations, and oversee project lifecycles from selection to production support while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • The role operates within Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit integrated health system in the U.S., formed from Advocate Aurora Health and Atrium Health, serving nearly 6 million patients across 69 hospitals and over 1,000 care locations with a strong focus on clinical innovation and value-based care.
  • In this role, the individual can develop leadership and project management skills, deepen expertise in application integration and system lifecycle processes, gain exposure to enterprise-level healthcare IT environments, and contribute to impactful initiatives that improve healthcare delivery and operational efficiency.

🎯 Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Formal training in Information systems, desktop applications, databases, software development packages, and programming languages preferred
  • Ability to lead teams and assign tasks based on individual competencies
  • Experience managing training development and delivery
  • Knowledge of applications and their integration with other systems
