- • As an Application Support Engineer at Availity, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of a 24x7x365 healthcare technology platform that processes over 13 billion transactions annually and connects more than 2 million providers to health plans.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring system health using tools like Splunk and Grafana, troubleshooting application and production issues, managing incidents, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to customers and internal teams, validating processing results, performing FTP/file transfers, documenting resolutions, and participating in on-call rotations.
- • You will join a global, remote-first team headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, with offices in Bangalore, India, and a distributed workforce across the U.S., united by a mission to refocus healthcare on patient care through innovative engagement solutions.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in healthcare IT systems, strengthen your troubleshooting and automation skills, gain experience with enterprise monitoring and cloud platforms, and grow professionally within a culture recognized as a Great Place to Work and Best Workplace for Technology Companies.
🎯 Requirements
- • Associate degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent experience
- • 2–5 years in application/production support (Tier 1/2)
- • Experience supporting high-availability systems
- • SQL and database knowledge (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- • Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems
- • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, SolarWinds, New Relic)
- • File transfer (FTP) experience
- • Basic cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- • Scripting/automation skills
- • Strong troubleshooting and analytical ability
- • Ability to multitask and prioritize
- • Strong written and verbal communication
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
