đź“‹ Description
- • Standard Bots is at the forefront of revolutionizing industrial automation, making sophisticated robotic technology accessible and user-friendly for a broader range of industries and applications. Our mission is to significantly lower the barrier to entry for real-world automation, bridging the gap between digital capabilities and physical tasks. We empower businesses by bringing the power of 'bits' to the world of 'atoms,' unlocking unprecedented productivity and efficiency. Our innovative 6-axis robot, the RO1, is at the heart of this transformation, supported by intuitive user-facing applications and robust APIs that open up entirely new use cases for automation.
- • As a customer-facing problem-solver, you will play a pivotal role within our Solutions Engineering team. This team is instrumental in driving Standard Bots' mission forward by architecting, implementing, and supporting cutting-edge robotic solutions. You will collaborate closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, including fellow engineers, organizational leaders, sales teams, and most importantly, our customers, to bring these advanced robotic solutions to life.
- • Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle. You'll begin by partnering with the sales team and directly engaging with customers to deeply understand their needs and challenges. Based on this understanding, you will architect elegant and effective solutions leveraging the capabilities of the Standard Bots RO1 robot. This consultative approach ensures that our solutions are not just technically sound but also perfectly aligned with customer objectives.
- • Following the design phase, you will transition into the implementation stage. This involves traveling to customer sites to personally install, program, and rigorously verify the Standard Bots solutions. This hands-on involvement is crucial for ensuring successful deployment and for gaining invaluable real-world insights into the practical application of our technology.
- • Post-installation, your role continues as you provide ongoing support to our customers. You will assist them as they discover and implement new and innovative ways to utilize the RO1 robot, fostering a continuous improvement loop and maximizing the value they derive from our automation solutions.
- • To further empower our customers and the broader community, you will develop essential supporting materials. This includes creating sample code, authoring insightful white papers, and producing detailed application notes that showcase the versatility and power of Standard Bots' technology.
- • You will also act as a vital link between our field operations and in-house engineering teams. By providing direct feedback from customer implementations and assisting in the design and testing of new features and integrations, you will directly influence the future development roadmap of our products.
- • Furthermore, you will contribute to our growth by developing compelling marketing collateral. This could involve creating case studies, demo scripts, or technical overviews that highlight the benefits and capabilities of Standard Bots, thereby helping to expand our customer base.
- • This role requires a significant degree of autonomy and travel. You will be expected to travel up to 50% of the time, domestically, typically Monday through Friday, to support our customer base across the Midwest region. As this is a remote position, you must reside in a Midwest state to effectively serve our regional clients.
- • We are seeking individuals who are self-driven, optimistic, creative, and resourceful. While a background in robotics is not a prerequisite, we find that engineers who are genuinely excited by the domain and eager to apply their existing expertise in a new and dynamic field tend to achieve the greatest success.
- • You should possess a solid technical foundation, comfortable with basic electrical principles (e.g., DC power, NPN/PNP configurations), proficient in programming (e.g., Python scripting), and capable of navigating mechanical design software (e.g., Solidworks). Your optimism and eagerness to embrace new challenges and contexts will be key to accelerating your impact.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with diverse stakeholders and documenting your work. You must also be impact-driven, prioritizing the delivery of user value and practical execution over purely theoretical advancements.
- • A proactive approach to simplicity, reliability, and velocity in your work is highly valued. You should be adept at identifying opportunities to enhance proposed implementations or existing systems, always aiming for robust and efficient solutions.
- • Finally, you will thrive in our dynamic and ambitious environment, collaborating effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and expertise.
🎯 Requirements
- • Technical background or relevant educational experience in basic electrical, programming, and mechanical systems (e.g., comfortable with DC power, NPN/PNP, Python scripting, Solidworks navigation).
- • Proven ability to architect, install, program, and support robotic solutions in customer-facing roles.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- • Self-driven, optimistic, creative, and resourceful mindset, with a strong desire to learn and adapt to new domains.
- • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% domestically (Monday-Friday).
- • Must reside in a Midwest US state.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary range: $80,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience and seniority.
- • Employee Stock Options for all full-time employees.
- • Comprehensive health insurance package including medical, dental, and vision.
- • Paid time off (PTO).
- • Life insurance.
- • Disability insurance.
- • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
