📋 Description
- • The Applications Engineering Manager is a player-coach who still knows their way around a factory floor, using their expertise every day to stay sharp and earn the respect of the team they're leading.
- • This is a hands-on role that requires leading from the front, managing a team of Applications Engineers across a territory, and owning their development, workload, and the quality of every customer engagement they touch.
- • The Applications Engineering Manager will report directly to the VP of Applications Engineering and will be responsible for team leadership and development, territory and customer ownership, hands-on technical work, and standards and continuous improvement.
- • The ideal candidate will have a strong customer-facing presence, experience managing a distributed team or territory, and be comfortable with up to 25% domestic travel for escalations, key customer engagements, and team support.
- • The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $180,000, depending on experience, and includes a package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k).
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of hands-on applications engineering, systems integration, or automation engineering experience
- • 2+ years of people management or team lead experience
- • Strong customer-facing presence
- • Experience managing a distributed team or territory
- • Comfort with up to 25% domestic travel
- • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline
