📋 Description

• As an Applied AI Engineer at Skydropx, you will be responsible for the technical core of integrating AI into the logistics platform for LATAM, building production-grade systems that solve real business problems with measurable impact on delivery times, costs, and merchant trust.
• You will design and build end-to-end AI systems—from data pipelines and model orchestration to LLM agents and evaluation frameworks—while collaborating with product and operations to turn ambiguous problems into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• You will join a dynamic, ambitious, and multicultural team innovating at the intersection of logistics and AI, processing hundreds of thousands of shipments monthly with real monetary consequences, where reliability and safety are non-negotiable.
• You will grow your expertise in applied AI systems, including LLM integration in production, evaluation-driven development, multi-tenant safety guardrails, and cross-functional technical communication, while mentoring peers as the team scales.

🎯 Requirements

• B2 or higher English proficiency
• 4+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in production machine learning or AI systems (beyond notebooks or POCs)
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based systems in production, including prompt engineering, tool use/function calling, RAG, cost and latency management, and output evaluation
• Solid proficiency in at least one strong language for AI systems (Python preferred; Go, Rust, or TypeScript/Node accepted with proven ML/IA production experience)
• Experience with at least one ML framework (PyTorch, scikit-learn, JAX, or equivalent)
• Ability to translate ambiguous product problems into bounded, measurable, and maintainable AI systems
