📋 Description

• As the Applied AI Lead at Alternative Payments Ltd., you will own the AI layer powering internal operations, working at the intersection of AI technology and business impact to eliminate manual work, accelerate decision-making, and scale AI-native workflows across finance, biz-ops, support, and engineering teams.
• You will stand up end-to-end agentic workflows using Claude Code and similar models, own context engineering and prompt design, build reusable skills and MCP integrations, manage the internal AI tool stack, and act as the technical guardrail for AI security, data policies, and evaluation frameworks across the organization.
• Alternative Payments is building the financial operating system for SMBs, starting with MSPs and expanding into AI-powered analytics and accounts payable, with a mission to reshape how service businesses operate financially through a unified platform.
• You will drive AI literacy, collaborate with product and data teams to unlock AI feature implementation, propose AI best practices, and shape how an AI-native fintech platform is built from the inside out — gaining deep influence over both technical architecture and business outcomes in a high-growth, innovative environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of operating experience in biz ops, strategy, transformation, consulting, software development, data or similar outcome-owning role with meaningful depth in AI systems, including building and shipping production AI
• Production prompt engineering and context engineering experience, with ability to articulate trade-offs between long context, RAG, fine-tuning, and tool use
• MCP experience: built MCP servers, integrated them into agent workflows, and understand the design space
• Strong understanding of AI security: prompt injection, access control in agentic systems, data exposure risks, and hardening LLM-adjacent infrastructure
• Ability to move fluidly between product technical and operational/biz-ops contexts, translating AI capabilities into business outcomes and vice versa
• Strong communication skills to explain complex AI tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders and earn trust without formal authority
