📋 Description

• Applied AI Software Engineer role focused on designing and building scalable, reliable systems that power core product workflows for Blossom Health’s AI-native mental health care platform, directly improving access to affordable, timely, clinically-effective mental healthcare for thousands of patients and clinicians.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include shipping high-quality code that balances speed and technical rigor, proactively identifying and resolving system reliability risks, leveraging cutting-edge AI to create intuitive clinician and patient experiences, conducting thoughtful code reviews, and providing technical mentorship to raise engineering excellence across the team.
• Blossom Health is a Series A mental health technology company with $20M+ in funding from prominent investors including Headline, Village Global, and founders of General Catalyst, Flatiron Health, and Sword Health, operating in a hyper-growth environment with a talent-dense team committed to solving America’s mental health epidemic.
• In this role, you will own meaningful projects from day one, shape technical and product decisions, gain end-to-end ownership of production systems, deepen expertise in AI-powered applications (particularly LLPs), and grow as a builder and leader in a high-trust, high-autonomy culture that values impact over hours.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of professional working experience outperforming in high-quality environments
• Fluency in TypeScript and/or Python, with experience in LLM-powered applications preferred
• Ability to build production systems end-to-end with minimal oversight
• Authorization to work in the U.S. and willingness to work in-person in NYC 5 days a week
