Applied ML Engineer

📋 Description

• • Build the data infrastructure for robots operating in the real world as an Applied ML Engineer at Foxglove Technologies, Inc., where you’ll design, deploy, and scale ML systems that power the company’s data platform for robotics and autonomous systems.
• • Day to day, you’ll deploy and operate inference infrastructure for production ML workloads, build and maintain vector database integrations for semantic search over multimodal robotics data, design evaluation and training infrastructure, own cloud architecture decisions affecting latency and cost, collaborate with product engineers to ship application-driven ML features, and identify when to adapt off-the-shelf solutions versus building custom tools.
• • Foxglove Technologies builds observability, visualization, and data infrastructure that enables robotics and autonomous systems teams to ingest, store, query, replay, and analyze massive volumes of multimodal sensor data from live systems and production fleets, serving customers in factories, warehouses, vehicles, and field deployments.
• • In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience optimizing ML inference pipelines at scale, working with cutting-edge embedding models and vector databases, shaping cloud architecture for high-performance ML systems, and driving product impact by shipping features used by engineers building the next generation of physical AI and robotics.
