đź“‹ Description
- • As an Applied ML Scientist at SentiLink, you will build core fraud detection models that power real-time identity verification for financial institutions, directly contributing to a mission-driven effort to replace outdated, costly systems with faster, smarter, and more accurate solutions used by hundreds of millions of people.
- • You will own the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle — from researching emerging fraud patterns and feature engineering to training, deploying, and monitoring models in production — working across teams to turn insights into scalable products that drive sales, marketing, and risk operations.
- • You’ll join a high-impact, fast-growing team recognized by Forbes Fintech 50, TechCrunch, and CNBC, with backing from top-tier investors like Andreessen Horowitz and Craft Ventures, and a proven track record of innovation including being the first eCBSV provider and testifying before the U.S. House of Representatives.
- • Collaborate with engineers, risk operations, and data teams across U.S. offices (Austin, SF, NYC) and India to access high-quality data, ensure model reliability, and translate technical work into business impact through clear communication and presentation of findings.
- • Gain hands-on experience applying ML to real-world financial risk problems — not just academic research — by developing foundational models for application fraud, identity resolution, and emerging products, with the autonomy to iterate quickly and see your work deployed at scale.
- • Develop deep domain expertise in fraud, identity, and financial systems while sharpening your technical skills in Python, AWS, PostgreSQL, and production ML engineering, preparing you for leadership in applied AI within a mission-driven, values-led culture.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field or equivalent experience/research
- • Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, or applied data science
- • Experience with Python and common data science tools through coursework, research, internships, or personal projects
- • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and build data-driven solutions
- • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical ideas clearly
- • Interest in learning deeply about fraud, identity, and financial risk systems
- • Ability to write clean, maintainable code
- • Strong attention to detail and curiosity about real-world data problems
- • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must live in the United States
- • Thrive in a fast paced environment characterized by the need to solve extremely varied, high impact, open ended problems
🏖️ Benefits
- • Employer paid group health insurance for you and your dependents
