📋 Description
- • As an Applied Scientist at Clipboard Health, you will join a newly formed team to build the quantitative infrastructure that powers a healthcare marketplace connecting professionals with facilities, directly impacting financial stability for workers and care delivery for millions.
- • Day to day, you will design and implement pricing algorithms, auction mechanisms, and reliability models; conduct causal analyses using methods like diff-in-diff and IV; build experiment frameworks; and collaborate with engineers to move models from prototype to production while communicating insights to product and leadership.
- • You will join a remote-first, profitable, Sequoia-backed company of over 1,000 employees that has been growing rapidly since 2016, with a dedicated three-person quantitative pod and engineering rotation focused on marketplace systems.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in causal inference, mechanism design, and production ML systems, while shaping foundational tools used across the organization and advancing your impact in a high-stakes, data-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as economics, statistics, engineering, or mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
- • Experience building and deploying quantitative models in applied or research settings
- • Proficiency in querying data using SQL or equivalent tools
- • Experience designing and analyzing controlled experiments
