- • The person will manage day-to-day accounts receivable operations as the primary focus, including invoicing, payment tracking, and client communication, while also handling secondary accounts payable responsibilities such as invoice processing, vendor payments, and system navigation—all within a remote-first environment requiring overlap with US Eastern Time business hours.

- • Manage accounts receivable operations including generating and sending invoices to mortgage company clients, tracking payment status, applying cash receipts, and resolving discrepancies through email communication in fluent English.
- • Handle accounts payable processing by reviewing vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, coding expenses appropriately, scheduling payments via QuickBooks, and maintaining organized records for audit readiness.
- • Process all financial transactions through QuickBooks (desktop or online), ensuring proper journal entries, reconciliation of bank and credit card statements, and maintenance of accurate general ledger data.
- • Communicate professionally and promptly with mortgage company clients via email to confirm invoice receipt, address billing inquiries, provide payment status updates, and resolve any AR-related issues with clarity and courtesy.
- • Maintain meticulous financial records by organizing digital documentation, ensuring proper filing of supporting documents, and upholding compliance with internal controls and data retention policies.
- • Support month-end close activities by preparing AR/AP reconciliations, assisting with accruals, generating aging reports, and collaborating with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- • Navigate and learn new financial systems as the company explores migration to NetSuite and evaluates AP automation platforms such as Bill.com, demonstrating adaptability and technical aptitude in evaluating and adopting new tools.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2-5 years of finance or accounting experience, with demonstrable proficiency in managing accounts receivable and/or accounts payable functions.
- • Proficiency with QuickBooks (either desktop or online version), including ability to process invoices, payments, reconciliations, and generate standard financial reports.
- • Strong written communication skills in English, with fluency required for clear, professional, and accurate client correspondence via email.
- • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with flexibility to overlap with early morning US Eastern Time hours for client and team coordination.
- • Exceptional attention to detail and a proven track record of accuracy in financial transactions, data entry, and record maintenance.
